Everton fans have been left gobsmacked after it appears that West Ham United’s Craig Dawson got away with a clear handball in their game at the weekend.

Joshua King came so close to scoring for Everton against West Ham late on and sealing the points.

However, Dawson got back on the line to block his goal bound header.

At the time the incident was glossed over on Sky, with West Ham looking to get back into the game.

However, it has now transpired that Dawson seemingly blocked the ball with his hand on the goalline, denying Everton a clear goal.

With VAR cameras in operation it is absolutely baffling why the incident was not picked up, or at least checked more closely.

And Everton fans have been left shocked that Dawson got away with it.

West Ham fans are likely to be relieved that the apparent misdemeanour went unpunished.

If Dawson had been called up for handball he would surely have been sent off and therefore would have missed West Ham’s next game.

Everton, meanwhile, are likely to be thankful that the decision had no bearing on the final result, as they won the game 1-0 anyway.
