Luke Garbutt has three goal in four games for Ipswich Town – does he have a future under Marco Silva at Premier League Everton?

David Beckham would have been proud of that.
Standing 25 yards from the Tranmere Rovers goal, Luke Garbutt stepped up and bent a stunning free-kick straight into the top corner with his trusty left foot to send Ipswich Town on their way to a 4-1 win which puts them clear at the top of League One.
Not a bad way to score your third goal from just four appearances in an otherwise injury-hit season. Did we mention that Garbutt is a left-back, rather than a centre-forward?
Unfortunately for the former England U21 international, however, it feels that he has missed the Premier League boat at the age of 26.

Garbutt is still an Everton player but, after previous spells at Wigan, Fulham, Oxford, Colchester and Cheltenham, he looks certain to bid farewell to Goodison Park when his contract expires in the summer of 2020.
Then again, with Leighton Baines in the autumn of his career and Everton lacking real back up for Lucas Digne at left-back, Garbutt could hardly be doing any more to suggest that he deserves one final chance on Merseyside.
