Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react after Phil Hay revealed that Victor Orta and Marcelo Bielsa have been discussing transfer plans at Elland Road.
The Athletic’s Leeds correspondent revealed the good news earlier today, and sent the club’s supporters wild on Twitter as a result.
Why? Well, there has been much uncertainty over Bielsa’s future.
The Argentine’s contract at Elland Road expires in June, and he is yet to put pen to paper on fresh terms.
However, the fact he’s discussing future plans with Orta suggests that the ex-Marseille boss is here for the long haul.
Why else would he be having a say in the club’s future?
Hay wrote that one contact of The Athletic‘s told them that Bielsa is ‘more and more in the long game’ and is happy to continue working in Yorkshire.
It’s no wonder that the Leeds fans on Twitter have gone wild after hearing this news.
Since arriving in June 2018, Bielsa has steered Leeds back into the Premier League in some style.
The Whites blew the rest of the Championship away as they won the title by ten points last season, and have taken to life in the top-flight impressively.
Leeds currently sit 12th in the Premier League with 32 points to their name.
