Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after a stunning stat involving Aaron Ramsey emerged.

A Gunners fan-page named LTArsenal™ revealed that the Wales international was the last Arsenal player to score a Premier League hat-trick.

That specific treble came back in February 2018, meaning that no Arsenal players have scored a Premier League hat-trick in nearly three years, a fact backed up by 11v11.

That is quite a long time for a club of Arsenal’s stature to be without a Premier League hat-trick.

Amazingly, Ramsey has departed north London since scoring his aforementioned treble against the Toffees, and no player has managed to take the hat-trick baton from him.

In truth, Arsenal are currently having a bit of a goalscoring issue right now, which sounds strange to say when discussing a side like the Gunners, who are typically free-flowing and effective going forward.

Mikel Arteta’s men have only scored nine Premier League goals this term, which is the third-fewest in the division. Only West Brom, Burnley and Sheffield United have netted fewer.
