Enzo Maresca took charge of Chelsea for the first time as the Blues faced Wrexham in a pre-season friendly.
However, his Chelsea side had to come from behind to draw 2-2 against League One outfit Wrexham in California.
The Blues are two weeks into their pre-season preparations and have jetted out to the United States for their summer tour.
Maresca has games coming up against Manchester City, Real Madrid and Inter Milan this summer but their tour started with a clash against Wrexham.
He fielded two different lineups either side of half-time and gave starts to new signings Tosin Adarabioyo and Marc Guiu.

Marc Guiu performance vs Wrexham
Chelsea moved quickly to sign Guiu this summer after he turned down a new contract at Barcelona.
The 18-year-old had a release clause worth around £5million and the Blues beat the likes of Bayern Munich, AC Milan and Napoli to his signature.
Maresca put his faith in Guiu to lead the line for Chelsea against Wrexham in their opening pre-season clash and he helped them to a 1-0 lead at the break courtesy of Christopher Nkunku.
While Guiu didn’t manage to etch his name onto the scoresheet, Chelsea fans on social media all spotted one thing about their new signing.
Chelsea fans react to Marc Guiu vs Wrexham
Pre-season friendlies are often a time for players to build up their fitness and get some minutes into their legs.
But there were no question marks around Guiu’s fitness after his 45-minute display against Wrexham with Chelsea fans blown away by his pressing and work rate.
One supporter wrote “His aggression and desire to hunt down players is amazing”, while another pointed out “Marc Guiu has an incredible work rate wow”.

A third fan posted “Liked some of what I saw from Marc Guiu, looks like that type of striker defenders hate to play.”
Others drew comparisons between Guiu and ex-Chelsea striker Diego Costa – “The timing of his runs in-behind, combined with his intelligent pressing and determination to antagonise defenders is a constant pattern. Reminiscent of Diego Costa with his relentless nature.”
