Arsenal fans are delighted after Kieran Tierney was seen back in training yesterday on a video published by the club’s official Twitter account.
Tierney has been missing with injury for Arsenal lately and he has been sorely missed in his absence.
The Gunners only have limited options at left-back, with Cedric Soares having to fill in while the Scot has been sidelined.
While Cedric has done a credible job he doesn’t possess the same class as Tierney.
And Arsenal fans were understandably delighted at the news the 23-year-old was back in training ahead of their Europa League clash with Benfica.
Whether Tierney will actually be fit enough to feature against Benfica remains to be seen, but it would be a major boost if he was.
The Gunners’ best route back into the Champions League may well be by winning the competition, and Mikel Arteta is expected to put out a strong line-up tomorrow to give his side the best chance of progressing.
