Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to show their love for Kieran Tierney’s shinpads, which were photographed after the 3-1 win over Chelsea.

The Scotland international was pictured with his socks down hugging Pablo Mari following Saturday’s win, where his custom-made shinpads could be seen.

On the right shin, Tierney has a Celtic badge with the number 63 underneath – his squad number during his days in Glasgow.

On the left shin, the 23-year-old has the Arsenal badge, with his current squad number – three – underneath.

Tierney showed off his custom-made shinpads in more detail on Instagram, where supporters were treated to a close-up photo.

It’s good to see the Arsenal left-back staying true to his roots and bringing some semblance of Celtic along with him to north London.

After all, the defender spent 14 years at Celtic Park, joining the academy in 2005 before signing for Arsenal in a £25 million deal in the summer of 2019.

It’s clear that Tierney still holds the Hoops close to his heart.

The Scotsman won a first-half penalty, which Alexandre Lacazette converted, while delivering a fine all-round performance.

As WhoScored shows, he recorded one key pass, one dribble and was fouled once. He also won one tackle, one interception and made one clearance.
