Arsene Wenger has recently been in Qatar for the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup, and the former Arsenal manager was spotted with footballing icon David Beckham.

The duo were spotted together following the final between Algeria and Tunisia in Al Khor, where the Greens claimed the Arab Cup with an extra-time 2-0 win.

The competition has gone largely unnoticed in Europe mainly due to the lack of star-name players. However, some famous faces have been spotted in Qatar for the tournament, namely Wenger and Beckham.

The Arsenal legend currently acts as FIFA’s Chief of Global Football Development, whilst Beckham is an ambassador for the 2022 World Cup, which is set to take place in Qatar next year.

Indeed, the duo are both icons of the Premier League and football as a whole, with Beckham arguably the most famous English sportsman of the 21st Century in large part to his celebrity status off the pitch.

And because of this, Arsenal fans loved seeing Wenger being spotted with Beckham in Qatar. The former Manchester United winger was at one point reportedly close to joining the Gunners, however, the ex-England captain moved to Real Madrid instead.
