Alexander Isak and Nick Pope were left impressed by Joe Willock after his stunning goal during Newcastle United’s 1-0 win over Chelsea on Saturday, as they posted on the player’s Instagram.
The Englishman decided to join Miguel Almiron’s goalscoring party by netting a stunning curling effort as Eddie Howe’s side headed towards the break for the 2022 World Cup in the Champions League places.
When Willock expressed his delight at scoring yesterday, Alexander Isak, who is currently injured, posted in the comments section of his IG post ‘wow’, whilst goalkeeper Nick Pope labelled him a ‘baller’.
IMRPROVMENTS GALORE
The true test of a Premier League coach is the improvements he makes with the crop of players that were already at the club before he arrived.
It’s easy to spend someone else’s money, it’s easy using the transfer market to improve the squad.
But it’s a different story altogether trying to improve faltering players, youngsters, players who are deemed big-money flops or those who just simply haven’t settled into their new surroundings.

Well, under Steve Bruce, they had a ton of them, from Almiron to Willock, who initially did well when he moved to St James’ Park on a loan deal.
The Arsenal academy product just couldn’t stop scoring, but once his deal was made permanent, he then struggled to find his feet again.
But under Howe, that’s proving to be a very different story because, at this moment in time, he could argue that he is, pound for pound, the best manager in the Premier League.
