Earlier today, Liverpool posted footage from the AXA Training Centre, where Harvey Elliott left James Milner and others stunned.

What’s the story?

Well, the £4.3m man scored a sublime chip on Merseyside earlier, as he delicately dinked the ball over what appears to be Adrian in between the sticks.

Elliott can be seen controlling a fine long-range pass from Milner, before his second touch sees him lift the ball over the Spaniard and into the back of the net.

As the ball was lifted over Adrian, Milner can be heard saying “oh yes please” in the background, as he admires the 19-year-old’s confidence and technical ability.

Another voice can be heard saying “wow” nine seconds into the 23-second video, as Elliott leaves his teammates impressed by his bold finish.

Clearly, the teenager has plenty of ability, and it will be interesting to see if Jürgen Klopp allows him to showcase it on a regular basis in the first-team next season.

In our view, next season is a very important one for the England Under-21 international.

Elliott was just starting to make an impact at Anfield before his gruesome ankle injury at Elland Road, which caused major disruption to his progress at a time where he was flourishing.

However, Klopp is clearly a huge fan of the Londoner, after starting him in a crucial Premier League clash against Chelsea last term.

The German also started Elliott against Inter Milan at the San Siro, in the Champions League Round of 16 of all stages, which was a bold statement from the 55-year-old.

Klopp clearly has a lot of faith in the new Liverpool No.19, and if he continues to shine in training, we see no reason why he can’t be a vital player for the Reds next season.
