Some Leeds United fans on Twitter have lamented their failure to sign Eberechi Eze this past summer.
The Mirror reported on mid-August that the newly-promoted Premier League outfit were keen on bringing the 22-year-old to Elland Road.
It never happened and the former QPR playmaker wound up joining Crystal Palace for a reported £17 million.
And it looks like Leeds missed out on a cracking player.
Eze starred in the Eagles’ 5-1 win away to West Bromwich Albion today and although he wasn’t among the goals, he did set up Palace’s fourth of the afternoon.
He was also a constant pain for the Baggies’ defence and here’s how some fans of the Elland Road club reacted to his display on Twitter today.
Leeds are still having a very good season without Eze, but the number 10 position is an area of concern for Marcelo Bielsa.
Rodrigo and Tyler Roberts have played there most often this season and neither have really pulled up any trees with their performances, especially the former who cost £30 million.
The Spaniard may still improve, but he won’t be playing up front anytime soon due to Patrick Bamford’s form this season, so a in-the-hole role is something he’ll have to get used to.
