Jonathan Woodgate believes Joe Gomez might be about to get taken off for Liverpool following his first-half performance in the Champions League.
Liverpool kicked off their Champions League campaign with a difficult visit to Napoli in Italy.
And things aren’t going very well for last season’s beaten finalists who are trailing 3-0 at Stadio San Paolo.
Gomez, in particular, is struggling in central defence and Woodgate has tipped Klopp to remove him at half time.
He told BBC 5 Live: “Napoli have been absolutely destroying Liverpool. It could be 4-0 in this first half. It wouldn’t surprise me if Joe Gomez gets taken off at half-time, he’s finding it tough.”

If Gomez does come off it’ll be Joel Matip going on for the Liverpool defender.
Matip and Virgil van Dijk do have a lot more experience when it comes to playing alongside each other, it has to be said.
Having said that, Gomez and the big Dutchman are by no means strangers to one another, but Matip just might be the stronger of both centre-halves.
Klopp also has Nat Phillips on the bench but despite some stellar Champions League displays under his belt, the former Bolton powerhouse won’t be coming on.
Piotr Zielinski scored from the penalty spot inside five minutes.
Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa added a second on 31 minutes, but Giovanni Simeone struck a third just before the break to compound the Reds’ problems.
