West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to react after Everton announced that they’d released Josh King, despite only signing him in January.
The Toffees took the 29-year-old on a deal until the end of the season, but he clearly hasn’t done enough to convince Everton he’s worth keeping.
King failed to score, or even assist, a goal in 11 Premier League appearances under Carlo Ancelotti, and is now a free agent.
As a result, some West Ham fans think David Moyes will now try to sign the 54-cap Norway international.
West Ham have previously bid for Josh King
Now, the West Ham fanbase’s prediction isn’t entirely unfounded.
The Irons actually wanted to sign King back in the summer, and even submitted a £13 million bid for his services according to the Daily Mail.

Interestingly, the Daily Mail added that West Ham were preparing a fresh move after that offer was rejected.
However, a transfer to the London Stadium never materialised for King.
Now, a player West Ham bid £13 million for less than a year ago is available for free, so you can understand why fans think Moyes might swoop in.

In our view, it would be a good signing.
King boasts plenty of Premier League experience, having made 172 appearances in England’s top-flight.
Let’s see what the West Ham fans have been saying on Twitter…
