Jason Cundy has said on talkSPORT that he thinks that Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte could try to sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba in the summer transfer window.
The former Chelsea and Tottenham defender has said that it would not surprise him if Conte is looking at Pogba’s situation.
The France international midfielder is out of contract at Manchester United at the end of the season and will be available on a free transfer.
Aston Villa and Newcastle United want to sign the 29-year-old on a free transfer this summer, according to The Sun.
Cundy said about Pogba: “He can’t get into those top teams. I’ve not seen enough, but that doesn’t mean to say that he can’t improve some teams.
“There’s a couple of Premier League clubs that we believe are interested and it wouldn’t surprise me if [Antonio] Conte’s looking at that situation.”

Paul Pogba to Tottenham Hotspur is unlikely
In our opinion, it is unlikely that Pogba will join Tottenham in the summer transfer window.
Yes, the midfielder and Conte worked together at Juventus.
And they were successful.
However, Tottenham are not in a position to challenge for the Premier League title now and may not even play in the Champions League next season.
Moreover, Pogba’s weekly salary of £290,000 (SalarySport) could be too much for Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.
Yes, the midfielder will not cost anything in transfer fee, but would Tottenham be willing to commit to a three-year deal with Pogba at that salary?
