Speaking on his podcast, Phil Hay has been discussing Raphinha and the idea that he could be replaced at Leeds by Noa Lang.
Leeds were strongly linked with a move for Lang last summer, but a move was vetoed by Marcelo Bielsa – reportedly to the frustration of the club’s higher-ups.
However, with another spot potentially opening up on the wing this summer as Raphinha gears up for a potential move to Barcelona, Hay says that Leeds could return for Lang as he’s still rated within the club.
What’s been said?
Hay spoke about Lang potentially replacing the Brazilian.
“I mean, I’m only speculating here, but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if Raphinha left and they went back in for Noa Lang. They do really like Noa Lang and they did like him last summer, but they went for Dan James, so that could happen,” Hay said.

Great move
A move for Lang this summer could be brilliant for Leeds. Especially if he’s brought in to replace Raphinha.
Leeds will need a tricky winger who can score goals and Lang certainly fits that mould.
The 22-year-old has already been compared to Neymar, and during the 2020/21 season he bagged 16 league goals, proving just how potent he can be in front of goal.
Lang is also a brilliant creator. The winger has assisted 12 league goals this term, improving on his tally of 11 last year.
Leeds will need quality if they’re going to replace Raphinha, and Lang could certainly be a star for the Elland Road outfit in the coming years.
Keep an eye on Lang heading into the summer window.
