Speaking on The Overlap, Gary Neville has made a prediction about Manchester City ace Jack Grealish after he left Aston Villa.
The former Aston Villa star has joined City for a British-record fee, and Neville believes that this move could see him transform as a footballer.
Indeed, the Sky pundit says that he thinks Grealish will become a tough tackler and a hard worker under Guardiola in a similar way to Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva.
What’s been said?
Neville gave his verdict on Grealish after joining Manchester City from Aston Villa.
“Seriously, when you watch De Bruyne and Silva defend in the midfield a couple of years ago, it was unbelievable, the sprinting, the tackling, the work we were doing. It wouldn’t surprise me if in a year and a half’s time we’re looking at him sprinting back harder than anybody because Pep’s got it into him that it’s part of the game and you have to do it at this club, it wouldn’t surprise me,” Neville said.

A new player
If Grealish transforms in the way Neville thinks he will he could end up being a completely different player.
The former Villa captain is primarily an attacking force, but it has to be said that his ball-carrying ability could make him a real threat from deep as well.
It’s hard to predict how Grealish will fit into Pep’s City side, but Neville’s theory seems to make a lot of sense, especially when you see how Silva and De Bruyne changed under the Spaniard.
