El Gol Digital claim that Villa are interested in the Liverpool front-man, as they look to bolster their attack for next season.
However, the rumours have not gone down well at Villa Park, as they don’t feel that Origi has enough quality to actually get into their starting line-up.
Despite Villa fans’ reticence over a deal, Origi actually has proven his worth to Liverpool.
The Belgian has shown a happy knack of scoring important goals, although he hasn’t ever really been able to nail down a regular starting place.
There are unquestionably flaws in Origi game, but it is arguable that he would still be an upgrade on all of Villa’s striking options, with the exception of Ollie Watkins.
Origi has only scored one goal in 17 Liverpool appearances this term, which has plunged his future at the club into doubt.
