West Ham’s Jokanovic love affair
It is perhaps little surprise that the Cottagers chief is being linked with jobs in the English top flight having guided his current side to fourth in the Championship on the back of a 13-game unbeaten run that has yielded ten wins.
Yet one club in West Ham United have had Jokanovic on their radar for some time, with the Express reporting back in August before David Moyes’ appointment that the 49-year-old was considered the perfect person to replace Slaven Bilic in the dugout.
That was not the first time that the Serbian had been linked with a move to the London Stadium either, with his exciting brand of attacking football particularly well thought of among the Hammers hierarchy.
Which is why with Moyes’ contract up at the end of the season and doubts over whether the 54-year-old will sign a new one, the East Londoners could regret it if they allow Southampton to beat them to Jokanovic.
