West Ham United have been linked with moves for both strikers this summer.

It is clear to see that West Ham want to sign a new striker this summer.
According to a report from Sky Sports, the Hammers have had a £29 million for Maxi Gomez accepted by Celta Vigo, but is he the man to take the east London outfit to another level?
Italian media outlet Bergamo Post claimed earlier this year that West Ham lodged a £35 million bid for Atalanta hitman Duvan Zapata, and the Colombian might just be a better option for Manuel Pellegrini, in spite of the fact that he is over five years older than the Uruguayan.
The duo’s respective goalscoring records last season were chalk and cheese.
Gomez, 22, racked up 13 goals in 36 appearances for Celta Vigo, whilst Zapata notched 28 strikes in 48 games for Atalanta.
The Colombia international possesses blistering pace and would be able to stretch the pitch for West Ham, creating more space for Pellegrini’s technically gifted midfielders to work their magic.

Gomez, meanwhile, lacks the kind of pace that his fellow south American possesses.
With the modern day players playing on well into their mid to late 30’s, Zapata still has plenty of years left ahead of him at the very highest level, and if West Ham can pick him up for somewhere in the region of £35 million, he might just be a better option for them than the Celta Vigo front-man.
