Leeds United should consider Stoke City’s Bojan Krkic after he failed to make the club’s FA Cup matchday squad against Shrewsbury.
Leeds United currently sit top of the Championship table as supporters hope to end their long absence from the Premier League this season.
Many would agree that under Marcelo Bielsa’s stewardship during this campaign, Leeds have been the standout team, with their high-press and energetic style causing many problems for opposition teams.
With the January transfer window currently open, it provides the club with an opportunity to add to their squad and hope a newly acquired player can offer them a much-needed push over the line.
The Yorkshire club should look no further than Championship outcast Bojan Krkic, who is out of favour with Gary Rowett at Stoke City.
The Stoke Sentinal claimed at the end of December that the 28-year-old is fit and available for selection as supporters chanted from the stands for him to be picked for selection.
During his career, Bojan played for a number of high profile clubs, no more than representing Barcelona 163 times as a then-promising youngster.
Bojan would be a smart signing for Bielsa because he would provide the club with fresh, experienced and creative legs in the final third.
Not only that, it seems as though the Spainaird requires a boost to revive his career and Bielsa’s man-management style would suit him down to the bone as he is proving with the Leeds players.
If the Championship leaders were to add him to their squad then he could operate out wide, or preferably down the middle for the club.
Not forgetting that he wouldn’t cost much because he is not a first-team regular at Stoke, therefore, it’s a risk worth taking because the rewards could be monumental.
