Aston Villa striker Jonathan Kodjia has begun the new campaign in brilliant form.
If Jonathan Kodjia keeps his current form up for Aston Villa, then there has to be question marks over whether Tammy Abraham is even needed for Steve Bruce’s side, amid rumours the Chelsea forward could join on loan on ESPN.
Kodjia has been in wonderful form over the early part of the season, and will surely retain his place in the starting line-up even if Abraham comes in.
And with Villa still having Scott Hogan, Keinan Davis and Russian Hepburn-Murphy at the club, it may be worth Bruce focusing his resources in other areas.
Abraham is hardly likely to want to join Villa to be back-up, but Kodjia simply cannot be dropped currently.
The Ivorian scored twice for the claret and blues last night to help them gain a point over Brentford.
Kodjia appears to be back to his very best, and he has led the line exceptionally for Villa.
And while Abraham would be an exciting player for Villa to add, Bruce needs to consider whether signing a striker should be his top priority right now, with Kodjia in such blistering form.
