Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenburg has given an update on Jude Bellingham that will be music to the ears of many Liverpool fans.
Indeed, the journalist states that Liverpool are still pushing for Bellingham as they have been for a number of months, but the path has slightly cleared for them now.
Plettenburg states that Manchester United, another contender for Bellingham’s signature, are now out of the race as they stand next to no chance of signing the England star in the summer.

On top of this, Plettenburg gave Liverpool a further boost when stating that Borussia Dortmund are open to selling Bellingham this summer for a fee north of €100m.
For any Liverpool fan who wants Bellingham at Anfield, this is a huge boost, but should the Reds go out and make this signing?
Yes, he looks a talent, but at the same time, he’s only 19 years old and is yet to prove himself in the Premier League.
Of course, his World Cup performances have stood out, but there’s a marked difference between shining against the likes of Iran, Wales and Senegal and competing with the best of the best week-in, week-out.
Bellingham would be a gamble at that price to say the least, and after watching other high-profile Bundesliga players such as Timo Werner, Jadon Sancho and Kai Havertz struggle to get to grips with the Premier League, Liverpool may want to tread carefully here.
Luckliy, with Jurgen Klopp in charge, Bellingham would get the perfect schooling to prepare him for life in the Premier League, so perhaps a move to Anfield would be his best course of action as he looks to truly establish himself amongst football’s elite.
