The Spaniard was linked with Tottenham Hotspur before his cut-price move to Everton.

As reported by the Sunday People late last year, Tottenham Hotspur continued to monitor Sandro Ramirez following his move from Barcelona to Malaga. But when the striker did ultimately head to England, it was to Everton rather than Spurs, for a reported £5.25million (Sky Sports).
Although it is early days in Sandro’s Everton career, the 22-year-old may have been better off moving to Tottenham, if Spurs had made a bid, of course.

In North London, Sandro could have settled into his new surroundings over time, without the pressure of instantly replacing the goals and overall influence of a big-name forward.
At Everton, the bargain buy has been tasked with replacing Romelu Lukaku, something anyone would struggle to do, let alone a youngster who needs to get used to a new division in a new country.
Of course Sandro is not the same type of player as Lukaku and Everton boss Ronald Koeman must take the blame for not sufficiently strengthening up front, but in so doing he has put added pressure on the striker he did manage to sign.

At Tottenham, Sandro could have sat back and watched Harry Kane bear the brunt of goal-scoring responsibility, getting his feet under the table before hopefully replicating the form he showed at Malaga last season.
Confidence is key for strikers, certainly new additions, and Sandro’s failure to find the net in 10 appearances for Everton will do him no good at all.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, and there is no guarantee the Spaniard would have been any better at Tottenham. But allowing him to play his way into form at a club with a strong, effective starting XI, rather than watching his confidence fade away like so many of his Everton teammates, may have prompted a completely different response.
