Samuel Saiz has been sensational since moving to Leeds United in the summer.

Based on the interview that Samuel Saiz recently gave to Spanish outlet Marca, it would certainly be too great a leap to suggest that the attacking magician has too many regrets about his decision to join Leeds in the summer as he spoke glowingly about the Yorkshire side and their supporters.
Saiz has been a revelation for the Whites, surely proving to be the best summer signing made by the club and justifying that faith by scoring eight goals in 16 games in all competitions and contributing three assists.

But unfortunately for Thomas Christiansen, a number of his teammates have failed to keep up with the 26-year-old in recent weeks, with Leeds’ form tailing off dramatically since mid-September.
So while it would be wrong to suggest that Saiz will be disappointed with his decision to join Leeds, he would undoubtedly be forgiven for contemplating whether he made the right move, even if that is just for a second.

That is because, with a 2-0 win over Barcelona B on Saturday, the team that he left for Elland Road, Huesca, have now gone top of the Spanish Second Division.
Huesca have not lost since mid-September – interestingly, in a game against a side Leeds have a partnership with, Cultural Leonesa, the day after Christiansen’s men lost their first game of the season, which came away at Millwall – and now sit one point clear.
Of course, the current fortunes of the two clubs are unlikely to make Saiz completely regret the decision to move. Leeds still have more than enough time to turn things around and get themselves back in the promotion mix, while Huesca are only five points clear of eighth-place Rayo Vallecano so their position could be precarious.
But Christiansen will know that his side need to start improving their performances and results once the international break ends to ensure that their talisman does not start to dwell too much on whether he made the right move.
