Everton are reportedly ready to sell Brendan Galloway so should Leeds United take a look to solve their left-back issue?

Newly appointed director of football Marcel Brands is preparing to oversee an overhaul at Everton that will see 12 players sold, according to the Mirror.

Brands has been tasked with thinning down a bloated 38-man squad to a more manageable 25 to 30 players and there are some big names among those reportedly being axed.

Wayne Rooney, Morgan Schneiderlin and Ashley Williams could all be on their way out of Goodison Park, but is there someone a little lower down the list that Leeds United should take a look at?

Good option for the Whites?

Among those departing is Brendan Galloway, who the report says has had interest from Championship sides despite a difficult previous season on loan at Sunderland.

Galloway is a left-back, with the ability to also play in central defence, which is an area Leeds desperately need to improve over the summer.

That is because January signing Laurens De Bock has proven less than convincing in the position, while academy product Tom Pearce is soon to be out of contract and has been linked with Bournemouth and the Toffees by the Yorkshire Post.

The Whites want to avoid having to play the likes of Vurnon Anita and Gaetano Berardi out of position on the left side of defence in 2018/19 and perhaps Galloway could be the man to solve that issue.
