The Scot has made it clear that he is unhappy with the imbalance of the squad at the London Stadium, highlighting the need for more right-sided wingers at the club.
With this in mind, West Ham should consider a move for Magpies ace Matt Ritchie, who has been linked with a move to Burnley, according to the Daily Mail.
The 28-year-old has appeared in 21 Premier League games for the Toon this season, but has received criticism from some sections of the Newcastle fanbase.
He still has plenty to offer, however, and he could be a really good signing for the Hammers.
The West Ham squad is overloaded with left-sided wide-men, and despite the fact that Ritchie is left-footed, he predominantly plays on the right-wing, and his addition to the Hammers side would undoubtedly help them improve upon the potency of their play in the final third.
The former Bournemouth ace is also a set-piece specialist – something that the east Londoners have lacked since Dimitri Payet’s acrimonious exit from the club last year.
With the January transfer window now open for business, this will be one for West Ham fns to keep a close eye on, and if Moyes does manage to bring Ritchie to the London Stadium, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for the Hammers.
