West Ham United have been linked with a move for the Everton wide man.

According to the Mirror, new West Ham United manager David Moyes wants to raid his former club Everton for their winger Kevin Mirallas, but that could spell double trouble given the presence of Marko Arnautovic at the London Stadium.

Mirallas’s fiery nature was again in the spotlight earlier this month when he was allegedly dropped from Everton’s squad after a training ground bust-up and it is not the first time the Belgian’s attitude has been questioned.

Wingers are a complex breed and often show a level of inconsistency that would not be tolerated in players occupying other areas of the field. However the 30-year-old should be leading by example, not conducting personal battles of his own.

The same could be said of West Ham’s summer signing Marko Arnautovic, who arrived with much fanfare but has flattered to deceive ever since, failing to score in nine appearances in all competitions and getting his marching orders in the league game against Southampton after only 33 minutes of play.

That is not the kind of professionalism West Ham are seeking as they bid to turn their early season woes around and adding another hit-headed winger to the mix could be a mistake from Moyes.

He will know what he wants and hope the West Ham board back him accordingly, but adding too many jokers to his pack at this stage of the campaign could backfire in spectacular fashion.

Arnautovic has the talent to excel at the Hammers but he needs to keep his head down and focus on the task at hand; otherwise he could continue as an expensive bit-part player.
