West Ham United are reportedly keen on signing the Porto hitman.

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini has strengthened in pretty much every area of his squad this summer, apart from the centre-forward department, and the addition of an established hitman between now and transfer deadline day will surely feature highly on the Chilean’s list of priorities.
The Hammers have been linked with a move for Porto hitman Moussa Marega, with the Daily Mail reporting that the east London outfit have held talks with the Portuguese side in an attempt to bring the Mali international to the London Stadium.
It’s claimed that Marega has a €40million (£35.6 million) release clause in his contract, so would he be worth that kind of fee for West Ham?
The 27-year-old was in clinical form for Porto last season, scoring 22 goals in 29 Primeira Liga outings, and that kind of attacking output would surely prove to be a huge asset for Pellegrini’s side.

Marega is quick off the mark, and always likes to play on the shoulder of the last defender – something that would provide the Hammers with an entirely different option through the middle.
In today’s day and age, £35.6 million really isn’t as extortionate as it once was, especially for someone who has such proven pedigree at the very highest level, and if Pellegrini does manage to bring the Mali ace to the London Stadium, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for West Ham.
