Some West Ham United fans on social media have been reacting after it was announced that Mipo Odubeko would spend the remainder of the season on loan at Huddersfield Town.
The striker has been lighting up the U23s for over 12 months at this point, so a move out on loan would make sense on face value.
However, there is an issue, and that’s the fact that the Hammers now only have one striker in the squad.
Michail Antonio is the London club’s only number nine right now, and it’s fair to say he’s had his injury issues in the past.
Of course, it is deadline day, so all of this could change very quickly, but at this moment in time, the Hammers look very light up top, and almost nine months after his departure, Sebastien Haller still hasn’t been replaced.
