Tottenham Hotspur fans are excited by reports that they want to sign both Aurelien Tchouameni and Dusan Vlahovic in January.

Double deal pending?

Calcio Mercato reports that Tottenham transfer chief Fabio Paratici is a big fan of the pair and could launch a big money double swoop in the new year.

Tchouameni would help to bolster Tottenham’s midfield options, while Vlahovic would increase Nuno’s side’s threat up-front.

And there is a widespread belief that the duo could make wonderful additions for Spurs, although there are some doubts over whether the potential transfer will actually go ahead. 

Tchouameni is currently one of the most in-demand midfielders in world football.

If he was to join Spurs there is no doubting that his arrival would be hugely exciting.

But with Oliver Skipp performing so well, there have to be questions over whether Tottenham would be best placed investing such a significant sum into another defensive midfielder.

Vlahovic, on the other hand, could be a more necessary signing.

Tottenham continue to lack striking options outside of Harry Kane, and Vlahovic has been one of the most prolific front-men in Serie A over a sustained period of time now.
