Liverpool face a wait to see who they will contest a semi-final spot with when they travel to Wembley. Can they make it two domestic trophies in a season?
Stewart Downing struck an unlikely winner against Stoke City yesterday, to save Liverpool an arduous replay at the Britannia Stadium.
Now they can sit back and watch their Merseyside rivals travel to Sunderland, after blowing their big chance against them at Goodison Park, drawing 1-1.
Liverpool have played both sides in the last fortnight, losing 1-0 to Sunderland, and beating Everton 3-0 courtesy of a hat-trick from captain Steven Gerrard.
Fans may fancy their chances against Everton, but the Blues will go all out to get one over on the the Anfield club.

Liverpool have lost just two in 13 games against Sunderland, with that loss occurring last weekend thanks to Nicklas Bendtner’s goal. They have won five of these 13, drawing six, with the Black Cats drawing 1-1 at Anfield in the season’s opening game.
Liverpool have beaten Everton home and away this season, by an aggregate of 5-0. David Moyes has never won at Anfield, but this game will take place at Wembley, where Moyes led Everton to a penalty shoot-out win over Manchester United in 2009, before they lost the final to Chelsea at the stadium.
Everton have won twice in the last 12 games against Liverpool, with the Reds winning seven, and only three draws. However Everton won the last time the pair clashed in the FA Cup, thanks to a Dan Gosling extra-time winner in the 2009 fourth round.
