Fulham are interested in signing former Newcastle United and departing Brighton and Hove Albion goalkeeper Tim Krul in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun.

It has been reported that the Cottagers, who will play in the Premier League next season after winning promotion from the Championship, are keen on securing Krul on a free transfer this summer.

The 30-year-old goalkeeper is out of contract at the Seagulls this summer, having moved to the Premier League club from Newcastle in the summer of 2017.

Reunion with Aleksandar Mitrovic

Aleksandar Mitrovic spent the second half of the past season on loan at Fulham, having joined the Cottagers from Newcastle in the January transfer window.

The 23-year-old Serbia international regained his form at Craven Cottage and found his rhythm back, scoring 12 goals and providing one assist in 18 Championship starts for the London club.

According to The Chronicle, Fulham want to sign Mitrovic on a permanent contract from Newcastle in the summer transfer window.

Krul is a former teammate of Mitrovic at Newcastle, and the Dutchman could find a safe haven at Fulham just like the Serbian striker did.

The Dutchman struggles to play regularly under Rafael Benitez at the Magpies, and he did not play a single minute of Premier League football at Brighton this past season.

Perhaps a move to Fulham will see him get more playing time and revitalise himself.
