West Ham consider Marco Silva as David Moyes replacement but should Everton reignite their interest in the former Watford boss?

West Ham United are lining up Marco Silva as their next manager, according to Spanish publication Marca, with David Moyes having failed to impress.
Moyes was given a contract until the end of the season when the Scot was named as Slaven Bilic’s successor in November, but with only eight matches left until the conclusion of the current Premier League campaign the Hammers sit just one place and two points outside the relegation zone.

Silva has been out of a job since he was sacked by Watford in January, but still holds a decent reputation in the English game after an impressive calendar year in 2017 with Hull City and then the Hornets.
Everton missing a trick?
In fact when Silva was dismissed earlier this year the hierarchy at Vicarage Road cited an approach by Everton to hire the Portuguese as the reason for a downturn in form and the 40-year-old’s eventual axing – as reported by the BBC at the time.

The Toffees had wanted to appoint the former Tigers boss as a replacement for Ronald Koeman when the Dutchman was sacked himself in October, with the BBC outling they were prepared to pay £10m in compensation to land him.
Now Silva is available to hire for free and with the Sun claiming this month that the Merseysiders could get rid of Sam Allardyce this summer, would they be foolish to allow West Ham to beat them to their original first choice?
