Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers reportedly want to sign Dundee’s Jack Hendry for the Gers, and so do Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic.

Dundee defender Jack Hendry is one of the best young players in the Scottish Premiership, and it does not come as a surprise that Ibrox club Rangers and Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic both have been linked with moves for him.
According to Herald Scotland, Celtic are interested in signing central defender Hendry in the January transfer window and could loan the 22-year-old back to Dundee for the rest of the season.
The Sunday Post has credited Celtic’s Old Firm rivals Rangers with interest in the 22-year-old centre-back.
Celtic and Rangers are the two biggest clubs in Scotland, and one can understand why the Hoops and the Gers would be interested in Hendry.

The Hoops, though, could have a sense of urgency about them and certainly more money to spend in the January transfer window.
The way the Glasgow giants collapsed against Heart of Midlothian away from home in the Scottish Premiership last weekend once again underlined the need to sign new and better central defenders.
True, Marvin Compper is on his way to Celtic from RB Leipzig, but the German centre-back is 32 years of age.

For the Hoops to have long-term success, they need young and talented players, and Hendry fits that criteria.
Celtic have already started their January plans, and it should not surprise anything if they beat Rangers to the signature of Hendry.
