Ryan Sessegnon admits he would be keen to work with former Fulham teammate Scott Parker again if Tottenham Hotspur bring in the 40-year-old as Jose Mourinho’s replacement, speaking to talkSPORT

Two weeks on from Mourinho’s sudden departure, we’re no closer to finding out who Daniel Levy’s next manager will be.

Erik ten Hag has committed his future to newly crowned Eredivisie champions Ajax; Jesse Marsch and Julian Nagelsmann have new Bundesliga jobs; while Brendan Rodgers and Marcelino Garcia Toral have distanced themselves from the role.

So at this stage the appointment of a talented, up-and-coming British coach – a Graham Potter or Scott Parker – can’t be ruled out, if only for a paucity of other options.

The Daily Mail reports the current Fulham and Brighton bosses are in contention.

And, should Parker get the nod, his one-time Craven Cottage wonderkid would be the first to offer his congratulations.

“That would be very good!” the £30 million-rated Sessegnon said when asked about the prospect of Tottenham hiring Parker.

“Everyone knows the relationship I have with Scott. He’s a top guy, top man and a top coach. He’s just an all-round great guy.

“I played with him in his last season, I think, in professional football and my first. He’s someone who has obviously always believed in me as well.

“(Fulham) have got fantastic results against some of the big teams where other teams wouldn’t have thought they would get those type of points. Scott has got them playing the right type of football – that’s what I admire about him.”

Sessegnon will return to north London following an impressive loan spell at Hoffenheim but it remains to be seen whether the 20-year-old will be given the chance to compete with Sergio Reguilon and Ben Davies next term.

Parker’s arrival in north London would certainly do Sessegnon’s prospects no harm at all.
