Liverpool are into the last eight of the Champions League having seen off Bundesliga side RB Leipzig on Wednesday night.

The Reds were already 2-0 up from the first leg, and a repeat in Budapest saw them advance with a 4-0 aggregate win to wrap up a place in the quarter-finals.

Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane got the goals to send Liverpool through, giving Jurgen Klopp a much-needed win after the 1-0 defeat to Fulham on Sunday.

A number of Liverpool players impressed, but what about on the other side? Did Leipzig have anyone that really stood out in a disappointing 2-0 defeat?

Well, Liverpool fans seem to have been impressed with the performance of Leipzig midfielder Christopher Nkunku, raving about his performance on Twitter.

Nkunku was deployed in a left-wing back role despite predominantly being a creative midfield player, and that should appeal to Klopp and Michael Edwards.

The former Paris Saint-Germain talent has racked up 66 key passes in just 26 games across Bundesliga and Champions League outings, showing his ability to create chances in the final third.

At just 23, Nkunku looks to be a player who can blossom in the coming years, and Liverpool fans clearly want Edwards and Klopp to pay close attention after his display against the Reds last night.
