Some Olympiacos fans on social media have been reacting after hearing they’re interested in loaning Reiss Nelson from Arsenal.

The Greek outfit have been in desperate need for a new wide player ever since the departure of Daniel Podence to Wolves last January, and it seems as though they could be lining up a summer swoop for Nelson.

As you can imagine, the fanbase had a lot to say about this, but they weren’t all overly complimentary about the idea of signing Nelson.

Indeed, some supporters were over the moon at the idea of signing him, but one fan claimed that he wouldn’t get a game for Olympiacos, while another was worried that he’d fare similarly to Ruben Vinagre, another young player loaned from the Premier League to Olympiakos.

It would be interesting to see how Nelson was utilised if he moved to Greece, and it would be a litmus test to see where he’s at with his development after a tough 12 months at Arsenal.

It remains to be seen whether or not the Greek outfit can strike a deal to land Nelson on loan this summer, but if he does move, it may be a deal that splits the fanbase.

Here’s what Olympiacos supporters have been saying on social media…
