West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to react after Marseille’s Duje Caleta-Car was linked with a move to the London Stadium, as reported by a number of sources.
L’Equipe, The Daily Mail and The Scottish Sun all report that the Hammers are interested in signing the 6-cap Croatia international, with the latter story stating that a £25 million bid will be made by the east Londoners.
The 24-year-old centre-back has two goals in five Ligue 1 appearances this season.
The Daily Mail say he is reluctant to leave given Marseille’s participation in the Champions League.
Caleta-Car would prefer to leave next summer, but the Irons are hoping to convince him to swap Marseille for east London.
If West Ham’s interest is concrete, then Moyes has just a matter of days to complete this deal.
The deadline for overseas transfers is on Monday 5th October.
However, if he does miss out on the Croatian, then there will still be time to land another target of his in Craig Dawson, seeing as the domestic deadline doesn’t end until October 16th.
