Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing the Burnley defender.

According to a report from the Sun, Liverpool are interested in taking Burnley centre-back James Tarkowski on loan this month, but the Clarets want to sell him permanently for £50 million, and some Reds fans took to Twitter interaction to the news.
Liverpool are currently sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League table, but Jürgen Klopp will undoubtedly be concerned with what is becoming somewhat of a mini defensive injury crisis.
And Tarkowski would certainly fit the bill for the Reds.
Standing at 6ft 1in tall, the 26-year-old is a real athlete, and he would provide fantastic competition for the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Dean Lovren and Joel Matip.

With Joe Gomez likely to be out for the rest of the season, the Burnley ace would be a welcome addition for Liverpool, but whether the Merseyside outfit are prepared to pay the reported £50 million to sign him permanently is doubtful.
Some Liverpool fans took to Twitter in response to the news, and the reaction seems to be mixed…
