The Daily Mail have claimed that Leeds have launched an offer for the in-demand Gent striker, which trumps Lille’s bid.
David has been in prolific form in the Belgian league over the past campaign, and is now one of the most sought after young strikers in Europe.
The links with David have caused excitement around Elland Road.
And even rival fans think that Leeds could be making a brilliant signing if they do bring in the 20-year-old.
David scored 23 goals over the past campaign, and also proved his creative ability – scoring 10 assists.
At Leeds he could either play in their striking role, or provide competition for Pablo Hernandez in an attacking midfield slot.
David would have the energy and technical ability to slot in with Marcelo Bielsa’s system, and if the Whites were able to land him it would really signal their ambition upon their return to the top flight.
