Well, Leeds United are reportedly set to lose Mateusz Klich.
That’s according to The Mirror who reported on Saturday that the Poland international is ‘on his way out’ of Elland Road.
Klich has been a massive player for Leeds under Marcelo Bielsa and played a huge role in helping them to Premier League promotion in 2020.
But the 31-year-old has managed to start only 10 of the Whites’ 18 Premier League outings this season.
That right there illustrates that his influence in West Yorkshire is potentially on the wane.
Here’s how some Leeds supporters reacted to this speculation:
Going to happen?
Well, that’s difficult to say.
But Bielsa is definitely a fan of the Pole and no, he won’t want to lose him.
However, there’s no escaping the fact that Klich is playing less than he’s used to and with an engine like his, he’ll want to use it regularly and as much as possible.
Leeds ultimately have the final say on whether Klich goes or not but with their injury issues this season, selling him in January makes zero sense.
As mentioned, Klich is frighteningly reliable when it comes to fitness and someone of his versatility, well it’s potentially massive for the Thorp Arch club.
At one point under Bielsa, he started 85 successive league games for Leeds.
And if that doesn’t sum up his reliability and Bielsa’s trust in him then, well, nothing will.
So no, Leeds won’t be letting the player go anywhere in January.
