It was another good day for Arsenal loanee William Saliba on Sunday.
The 20-year-old powerhouse has been something of a revelation since joining Nice on a half-season loan from Arsenal this past January.
For whatever reason, Saliba, who cost the Gunners £27 million almost two years ago, never really endeared himself to Mikel Arteta in North London.
But whatever happens, he’ll be returning to North London with a bit more clout this summer following what’s been a very decent stint back in France – and it got better for him today.
Nice were unable to find a way past Reims in Ligue 1 but the big centre-back still recorded a clean sheet following a 0-0 draw, after helping the French outfit to a 2-1 win last weekend.
Saliba managed three clearances – one of which was particularly special – and won five ground and aerial duels combined.
Most impressively though, he recorded a pass success rate of 99 percent and that, if nothing else, will certainly impress the Arsenal boss when he pores over the statistics.
