Serbia national team manager Dragan Stojkovic has tipped Lazio star and rumoured Tottenham target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to sign for Juventus ahead of the January transfer window.
Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, the 57-year-old gave his opinion on what Milinkovic-Savic’s future could hold as the midfielder looks set to leave Lazio in 2023, with the report stating that Juventus are in the mix to sign the Serie A superstar as a solution to their midfield problems.
With Lazio owner Claudio Lotito recently telling Il Messaggero that the 27-year-old is now worth at least €120m (£105m), the Roman club are setting their financial expectations high for Milinkovic-Savic, who according to Sky Sports via Sempre Milan is also on Antonio Conte’s radar at Tottenham.
Whilst the prospect of playing in the Premier League might be an appealing one for the midfielder, especially given how tediously the Serbian has been linked with a move to England, Juventus seem to be well in the driving seat to land the Lazio talisman, as is the way with most big players in Italy.
And Serbia manager Stojkovic seems to agree, with Juventus in desperate need to sort out their midfield after injuries to Paul Pogba and Angel Di Maria that has seen the Serie A giants endure one of their worst starts in some time in both the league and UEFA Champions League.

Stojkovic said when asked if Milinkovic-Savic would move to Juventus: “Yes, Sergej is the midfielder Juventus is missing. He would be a great coup for the Bianconeri. But I am a coach, not a manager. I am relatively interested in where he will play in the future. Milinkovic-Savic is a superstar. At Lazio, Juve or another club, he would still be a starter for Serbia.”
Juventus beating Tottenham to Milinkovic-Savic feels inevitable

Juventus might be in trouble after their disastrous start to the 2022/23 season, yet there’s no denying that the Turin giants have the capacity to get out of their current mess, and signing Milinkovic-Savic in January feels almost too likely for it to not happen, much to the dismay of Tottenham.
After all, Massimiliano Allegri needs a saviour to guide him and Juventus out of this mess, and Milinkovic-Savic would be the perfect cure for a Serie A titan looking to get their aspirations back on track, even with Lazio’s sensationally high price-tag.
