‘Would be a good race’: Eddie Nketiah says Arsenal 23-year-old might be as fast as Aubameyang

Speaking on the Sky Sports Football YouTube channel, Eddie Nketiah has claimed that Ainsley Maitland-Niles is one of the fastest players at Arsenal.

Nketiah was playing a game of true or false, and as one of the follow-up questions, he was asked who he thought the faster player at the club was.

Predictably, Nketiah said that Aubameyang is one of the fastest players at Arsenal, but he claimed that Maitland-Niles could give him a run for his money.

Nketiah says that Aubameyang is one of the fastest players at the club, but he also believes that a race between the Gabon international and Maitland-Niles would be interesting.

“Yeah, I would say Auba, but usually Ainsley. He’s out on loan, but he’s up there as well I think. Auba vs Ainsley would be a good race I think,” Nketiah said.

Rapid

Aubameyang is one of the fastest footballers on the planet, so this is big praise from Nketiah.

To be fair, we often don’t realise how quick the 23-year-old is, but when he’s playing as a full-back, it’s easy to see that he’s genuinely rapid.

We’d pay good money to see a race between Aubameyang and Maitland-Niles, and for good measure, we’d also love to see Hector Bellerin get involved as he’s also a real speed demon.
