The Crystal Palace winger could be a useful addition for Everton this summer.

Toffees boss Ronald Koeman has already splashed the cash this summer, bringing in both Jordan Pickford and Davy Klaassen for a combined £47 million.
The Dutchman’s business is far from finished, however, as he looks to build a squad strong enough to make a sustained challenge for honours, both domestically and on the continent.
One particular area of the Everton squad that needs addressing is the wide attacking department, with Kevin Mirallas sent to turn 30 in October, Yannick Bolasie still yet to return to action following the serious injury he suffered last term, and Aaron Lennon’s well-documented ongoing personal problems.
With this in mind, the Merseyside outfit should consider a move for Eagles winger Andros Townsend.
The 25-year-old moved to Palace from Newcastle in the summer of 2016, for a fee believed to be in the region of £13 million, but failed to make a noticeable impact at Selhurst Park, scoring just three goals and chipping in with only four assists in 36 Premier League outings for the south London side.
Townsend is at his best when deployed in the right-wing role, from where he has become renowned for cutting inside onto his favoured left foot, before unleashing his powerful shot, or delivering crosses with pinpoint accuracy.

His place in the squad at Everton would provide fantastic competition for Mirallas – something that the Belgian desperately needs to keep on top of his game.
The 25-year-old’s current deal at Selhurst Park does not expire until the summer of 2021, so he will certainly not come cheap, but with Everton’s newly-found financial muscle, following Farhad Moshiri’s partial takeover in February, they are well capable of forcing Palace’s hand.
And if Koeman manages to bring Townsend to Goodison this summer, it could turn out to be a real significant piece of business from the Dutchman.
