Some Arsenal fans on social media are far from happy after The Telegraph reported that Joe Willock will be re-joining Newcastle on loan.

The midfielder obviously had a fantastic loan spell with the Magpies during the second half of last season, and it was thought that he would be given a chance with Arsenal this term.

However, it now seems as though he’s going to head back to Tyneside on a temporary basis, and it’s fair to say the fanbase aren’t happy with this.

It’s completely understandable why fans aren’t happy. For a start, he’s surely done enough to get a chance with the Gunners. After all, he scored eight goals in 14 appearances in the Premier League for Newcastle last term.

Even if Arteta didn’t want to give him a chance, surely a sale makes more sense than a loan at this point?

Indeed, Willock’s stock is the highest it’s ever been after his successful loan spell, and if the Gunners cashed in on him they’d surely receive a decent windfall.

Fans believe that another loan doesn’t make any sense, and here’s what they’ve been saying on social media…
