Arsenal have sold promising striker Donyell Malen.

Arsenal had a tough day trying to keep hold of their star players on deadline day, and the departure of Donyell Malen almost slipped off the radar.
The Gunners fought to bring the teenager in from Ajax in 2014 and he went onto feature for the club in the UEFA Youth League.
Malen scored 27 goals in 67 academy games, but yesterday it was announced by the club he has been sold to PSV Eindhoven.

Most Arsenal fans would have expected that his departure would be a loan move, and were dismayed to learn the young striker has departed on a permanent basis.
Malen featured for the first team in pre-season, and his sale will not affect the state of play in Arsenal’s squad.
It may though come back to haunt them in another way, if Malen goes on to become the top star he was touted to be.

There is no word whether Arsenal had the sense to include a buy-back clause in terms of the sale, and if they did not, it could prove to be a mistake.
Malen has the platform at one of Holland’s top clubs to embarrass the Gunners like Serge Gnabry has gone onto do with his performances in Germany since leaving.
Here is a look at how Arsenal fans reacted to Malen’s departure…
