Rangers have confirmed the signing of Wright on a pre-contract agreement

Aberdeen fans have responded with fury to confirmation that Scott Wright is leaving for Rangers.
The 23-year-old has signed a pre-contract agreement with the league leaders and will arrive in the summer.
Wright has scored seven goals in 74 appearances for the Dons, but his progress was halted in September 2019 by a cruciate ligament injury.
Confirmation of Wright’s impending arrival in Glasgow came on the same day that Rangers winger Glenn Middleton sealed a loan deal with St Johnstone that will keep him in Perth for the remainder of the season.

Ryan Jack, who scored in a 5-0 win for Steven Gerrard’s men against Ross County on Saturday, became an unpopular figure among Dons supporters after swapping Pittodrie for Ibrox in June 2017.
If the reaction from these fans is anything to go by, Wright is set for a similar level of popularity in Aberdeen.
