‘Worse than Hockaday’: Some Leeds fans pipe up after ‘absolutely insane’ update

Some Leeds United fans on social media have been reacting after Sheffield United appointed Paul Heckingbottom as their new manager.

Heckingbottom is the Blades’ new boss and remarkably, he’s signed a deal until 2026.

As you can imagine, Leeds fans had plenty to say after hearing their former manager is back working at Championship level.

Some fans took this as an opportunity to ridicule their Yorkshire rivals, while others genuinely felt bad for the Blades as they feel as though the club have massively downgraded.

To be fair, we can see where they’re coming from. Sheffield United had one of the best managers in the country this time last year and now they have a man who was sacked after just four months at Leeds.
