Tottenham Hotspur fans were quick to criticise Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain over an alleged dive against Italy last night.

Oxlade-Chamberlain went down untouched running into the penalty area in the first half of last night’s friendly, but no spot kick was given.

But what followed was not criticism from the likes of Gary Lineker and Ian Wright, as Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli experienced this season.

Nor did an Italy player come out and call him a diver, like Virgil van Dijk did after Liverpool faced Harry Kane’s Tottenham last month.

Ill feeling still remains between Tottenham and Liverpool fans from that frenetic 2-2 draw, which saw Liverpool fans blast Harry Kane and Erik Lamela for ‘dives’ which led to two Spurs penalties.

Reds fans made their displeasure towards the Spurs duo very vocal, so Tottenham supporters last night gleefully pointed out Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain going to ground too easily.

The incident was not a good look for Oxlade-Chamberlain, and the fact a penalty was not awarded saved him from the spotlight which would have further tarnished his reputation.

Here is a look at the reaction from Spurs fans to the incident…
